"The Reimagined 1924 Spanish Home on Los Angeles' Miracle Mile"
Welcome to Project Cloverdale where my client needed help getting their home market ready but still wanted to marry the elegance of 1920s Spanish architecture with the convenience and style of the 21st century. To stay true to the home's original style, the design took inspiration from existing arches and incorporated them into other areas and bathrooms. This thoughtful approach ties the entire space together, seamlessly blending old and new. The original layout of the home was choppy and disjointed, but Project Cloverdale sought to remedy that. Walls were carefully removed to create a more fluid and functional flow throughout the house, making it perfect for modern living. Every detail was meticulously chosen, including the Spanish cement style tiles and classic Saltillo tiles that adorn various spaces. The patterns and rich colors of these tiles infuse the home with the kind of character and charm that's synonymous with Spanish-style architecture. Every detail, from the tiles to the arches, was chosen to honor the home's heritage while embracing contemporary design.
